MSI Zambia Video: How a caravan is changing lives with outreach!

In this video, providers and clients from MSI Zambia share information on an outreach approach that turns caravans into mobile healthcare clinics.

MSI Zambia has different approaches to reaching women and girls with essential reproductive healthcare. To bring our service delivery to young people in rural areas, we repurposed old caravans and turned them into mobile clinics.

In partnership with the government of Zambia, women and girls have access to MSI services and public health system services like cervical cancer screening — making it convenient to have various healthcare needs met in one visit.

We also partner with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities and Teen Connectors to ensure our services are accessible to all clients.

As Inonge Wina Chinyama, MSI Zambia Operations Director, puts it: “In a country like Zambia, where about 53.4% of the population are young people, high quality sexual reproductive services become imperative for the nation’s future. So at MSI, that is the primary focus.”
