2022 Impact:

  • 127,000 people using an MSI-provided method of contraception
  • 19,609 unsafe abortions averted

Our first center in Santa Cruz opened its doors in 1994. Since then, MSI Bolivia has grown to include a network of centers, outreach teams and community nurses, reaching even the most remote communities of the country with sexual and reproductive healthcare.

Teen pregnancy is high in Bolivia, with nearly one in five girls becoming pregnant before age 19. That’s why MSI Bolivia focuses on providing youth-friendly, stigma-free contraceptive services, to help adolescent girls avoid unwanted pregnancies and continue on their chosen paths.
