Since 1990, MSI Ethiopia has provided high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive healthcare throughout the country.
Through our network of centers and outreach teams, we reach 11 regions—from busy urban centers to remote rural communities—with contraception, abortion care, care after unsafe abortion, and other reproductive healthcare services. We also provide maternal and child health services at our maternity centers.
In 2005, Ethiopia expanded its abortion law—but while the number of abortions performed outside of health facilities has fallen in the years since, many women still turn to less-safe methods. MSI is working to reduce the rates of unsafe abortion by providing contraception and safe abortion care.
