Ivy Shen

Ivy is a bilingual fundraising professional with over 14 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, focusing on human rights, women’s and girls’ issues, humanitarian crises, and nonprofit management.

Ivy is currently the Director of Global Principal Gifts at MSI Reproductive Choices, one of the largest providers of sexual and reproductive health care worldwide. Our teams work in 36 countries and serve over 23 million women and girls annually. She works closely with our most significant partners to raise awareness and funding to ensure women and girls everywhere can take control of their futures.

Before joining MSI, Ivy was the Director of Philanthropy at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) USA, where she led a team of 27 Development professionals across Major Gifts, Midlevel, and Planned Giving in raising over $400 million annually to support MSF’s humanitarian work around the world. Ahead of joining the MSF team, she spent over twelve years at Human Rights Watch, acquiring a range of skillsets around fundraising, including donor strategy, event planning, campaign management, and creative branding.

Ivy holds a Master’s Degree in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Professional Edge Certificate in Nonprofit Fundraising from NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
