MSI’s program in India recognized for contributions to women’s reproductive healthcare

PHSI has received appreciation from the Jharkhand State Government for the second year at the State Formation Day celebrations.
Since the establishment of Population Health Services India in 1999, the team have been committed to providing quality family planning and reproductive health services to vulnerable communities. The Jyoti Clinics have developed from static centers to outreach services serving thousands of clients across Jharkhand. This growth has been the result of perseverance, purpose, and the drive to ensure every woman has a right to choose if and when to have children.
Today, PHSI operates across 14 districts with three fully functional teams, bringing reproductive choices closer to every woman in the state.

The PHSI team were celebrated for their method-specific counselling, stringent infection prevention protocols, and highly qualified clinical team. They have also introduced an advanced permanent contraception method that is the first in the region. This achievement recognizes PHSI for the highest contribution to female permanent contraception, and Dr. Srinivas Rao was recognized as a master trainer for the procedure. This reflects the team’s commitment to expanding high quality reproductive healthcare to women across the region.
