MSI Nepal has delivered high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare to women in the country since 1994. Our providers literally scale mountains to reach the most remote communities with contraception and safe abortion care.
Reaching mountain villages with reproductive healthcare isn’t easy. Our outreach teams and mobile midwives, MSI Ladies, travel to remote areas to deliver services in women’s homes. Without these dedicated providers, many women would have to travel long distances for care—and some would turn to unsafe abortion, despite abortion being legal in Nepal.
Funding from generous US donors has helped MSI Nepal reach more women with sexual and reproductive healthcare, as well as implementing innovations that allow more women to access care, no matter where they live or their ability to pay.
