Vietnam

2022 Impact:

  • 1,500,000 people using an MSI-provided method of contraception
  • 765,000 clients served
  • 384,000 unsafe abortions averted

Established in 1989, MSI Vietnam is one of the leading providers of sexual and reproductive healthcare in the country. With generous support from US donors, the program is focused on reaching the poorest and most marginalized communities, such as migrants, sex workers, ethnic minority groups and young people.

From centers in bustling cities like Hanoi to outreach efforts in the country’s rural and mountainous north, we work across multiple channels to bring services directly to hard-to-reach communities. Our teams provide short-term, long-term, and permanent contraception, as well as safe abortion services, care after unsafe abortions, and other sexual and reproductive healthcare services.

We work closely with the government to train and support public sector providers and expand access to affordable services. We also have a network of MSI Ladies, mobile midwives who serve clients in their homes.
