MSI Tanzania recognized for advancing youth engagement

MSI Tanzania has been recognized for its outstanding partnership and commitment to advancing youth engagement and community wellbeing during the Tanzania Youth Development Forum 2026.

The award was presented by the Minister of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Hon. Dorothy Gwajima, and received on behalf of MSI Tanzania by Dr. Mashingo Lerise, SBCC manager, during the celebrations.

This recognition reflects years of collaboration between MSI Tanzania, youth-led organisations, government institutions, and community stakeholders to ensure that young people have access to the information, services, and opportunities they need to make informed decisions about their health and future.

Through its youth-centered programing, MSI Tanzania has worked closely with adolescents and young people to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights, strengthen youth participation in community development, and create platforms where young voices can be heard, valued, and empowered. By investing in meaningful partnerships, MSI Tanzania has supported initiatives that enable young people to become active agents of change within their communities.

Through this partnership, MSI Tanzania has been able to reach thousands of adolescents and young people with reproductive healthcare information and services while also participating in high-level policy discussions aimed at increasing youth awareness, promoting access to services, and advocating for sustained government support for youth development initiatives.

During the event, MSI Tanzania directly engaged more than 600 young people from different regions of Tanzania with reproductive health information and education through panel discussions, breakout sessions, and interactive engagements.
