Champion of Choice Award 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MSI Reproductive Choices honors Janet Miller with inaugural Champion of Choice Award

WestWind Foundation co-founder recognized for transformational commitment to reproductive choice and global health.

[WASHINGTON, DC — October 6 2026] — MSI Reproductive Choices today announced that it has awarded its first-ever Champion of Choice Award to Janet Miller, co-founder of the WestWind Foundation, in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to advancing reproductive choice and improving the health and lives of women and girls around the world.

MSI Reproductive Choices’ Champion of Choice Award recognizes individuals whose vision, leadership, and philanthropy have helped advance a world where everyone can make informed choices about their reproductive lives and futures.

For many years, Janet Miller and the WestWind Foundation have been valued partners in MSI’s mission to expand access to contraception and reproductive healthcare. Through their support, they have helped enable MSI teams to deliver high-quality, locally led services to communities where access to care can transform lives. WestWind Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation focused on supporting organizations working in environmental and reproductive health areas.

“Janet Miller represents the very best of what philanthropy can achieve when it is grounded in trust, partnership, and a belief in human potential,” said Amanda Seller, President of MSI United States. “She understands that reproductive choice is not only a healthcare issue — it is a foundation for healthier families, stronger communities, and greater opportunities for people everywhere. We are deeply grateful for Janet’s leadership and for the many lives that have been changed because she chose to stand with MSI.”

Through her partnership with MSI, Janet has demonstrated a deep commitment to evidence-based solutions and to supporting organizations with the expertise, reach, and operational capacity needed to create lasting impact. Her approach reflects a belief that philanthropy is most powerful when it invests in effective organizations capable of delivering measurable results at scale.

“Janet has been a remarkable champion for women, families, and communities around the world,” said Lisa Valone, Chair of the MSI United States Board of Directors. “The Champion of Choice Award is a fitting recognition of her generosity, her conviction, and her unwavering commitment to ensuring that people have the freedom and opportunity to make choices about their own lives.”

“Champions of Choice” like Janet Miller play a critical role in making this work possible — ensuring that women, girls, and communities have access to the healthcare and choices they need to build healthier futures.

MSI Reproductive Choices is one of the world’s largest providers of contraception and reproductive healthcare.  Working in partnership with governments, communities, and local health providers, MSI delivers high-quality reproductive health services that help people choose if and when to have children.
