MSI US appoints Elena Otero chair of Board of Directors

MSI United States, a U.S.501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting the international NGO: MSI Reproductive Choices, is pleased to announce that Elena Otero has been appointed as the new chair of its Board of Directors. As Board Chair, Elena will provide strategic direction and guidance to MSI United States’ fundraising and advocacy work.  

Elena is an experienced global consumer business leader with a demonstrated track record of success in the consumer product goods industry. She said: “I am honored to have been asked to lead this board and look forward to helping MSI build greater prominence in the United States at this pivotal moment for women’s reproductive rights globally.” 

As a member of MSI US’s board, Elena has helped guide MSI’s brand and marketing activity, employing her deep marketing expertise from more than two decades of experience leading marketing efforts with consumer giants, Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company in Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the United States.  

“We are delighted Elena has agreed to lead MSI United States’ board. Since becoming a board member, Elena has brought an exciting level of energy and enthusiasm for helping MSI United States and MSI Reproductive Choices achieve our goals to end unsafe abortion and ensure every woman who wants contraception can access it,” said Amanda Seller, President of MSI United States, “I know she will help us achieve even greater success.”    

Elena has an Executive MBA (DLI) from The Wharton School, and an MBA in marketing from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion in Caracas, Venezuela, a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
